2024 Care for the Mare & Foal-ONLINE

Service Description

This course is put together with years of experience breeding & raising Gypsy Vanner/Cob Horses. We will start with the Mare Care we do prior to breeding then jump to 18 day gestation. We will learn about growth of the in utero foal, nutritional requirements for the Mare and foal throughout pregnancy, tips and tricks we have learned thru the years, montoring the mare throughout the foaling process, foaling, desensitization process we use with our foals and care of the Mare & Foal after birth. (Reproduction, actual breeding and growth prior to 18 days is saved for another class) The really exciting part of this class is we are scheduling it with perfect timing for our Mare Maddie who is expecting an SD Tarzan Foal. Her due date is 3.30.23. We are excited to share our experience and an inside view of our foaling barn. This class is open to all ages. This is perfect for someone expecting a foal, someone loves horses and for those joining our “FOAL WATCH TEAM” Disclaimer- This course discusses experiences from our farm, We are breeders-Not a Vet & this course is not intended to replace proper Veterinary care. All Mares & Foals need a Vet’s care.
